Dave McLean Resigns
Brigg Town FC Statement:
“Following Saturday’s 3-2 away defeat at Gresley Rovers, Brigg Town Manager Dave McLean tendered his resignation which was accepted by the Chairman and his Committee.
Dave has been a loyal servant to Brigg Town for many years, as player, coach and manager, the highlight of which was captaining the 1996 winning FA Vase team at Wembley. In their first and second season in UniBond League football, Brigg finished eighth, with grounds for optimism. After last season’s seventeenth position and the disappointing start to the current season, perhaps the time is right for a change of management. Brigg Town will always be grateful for Dave’s contribution to the club, and he will always be welcome at the ground.
Steve Housham (Assistant Manager and Club Captain), will take charge of team affairs in a caretaker capacity, but will be considered for the permanent position along with any other candidates who put themselves forward.”
